An ethical immersive learning experience in Colombia that brings people together through community partnership, cultural exchange, and ethical engagement.
An ethical immersive learning experience in Colombia that brings people together through community partnership, cultural exchange, and ethical engagement.
The Tertulia Project is an ethical immersive learning program in Colombia that brings participants into direct relationship with local communities, nonprofit partners, and small businesses. Through volunteer engagement, cultural immersion, and guided reflection, participants experience a more grounded and reciprocal form of global learning.
Our model is built around partnership, not extraction. We work alongside community-based organizations and invest in local leadership, local businesses, and experiences that reflect the realities, strengths, and aspirations of the region.
Each program is designed to help participants build cross-cultural understanding, challenge assumptions, and contribute to community-defined efforts in meaningful ways.
Why We Differ
Participants engage in community-informed work alongside local organizations, while participating in structured dialogue spaces that challenge assumptions, deepen understanding, and build cross-cultural connection.
The program is designed so that the majority of funds remain within the local economy.
